- The joint theme of the 2018 Nordic series is Fish species of the North. The Åland Post stamp flaunts a silvery Atlantic salmon (salmo salar). Salmon fishing has been a significant source of income for commercial Åland fishermen, above all in the 1960s and 1970s.
