The maximum card shows a photo of a bed of eelgrass, standing on a shallow sandy bottom in Eckerö where stamp artist Katja Syrjä usually collects eelgrass that has washed ashore. The special cancel shows an ink drawing of a Baltic Sea mussel (Macoma baltica).
The postage-paid symbol on the address side of the card shows a hydrobia (hydrobia sp).
Postage from Åland to any country in the world is thus included in the price of the card.
